It is winter in LA and that meant...I needed a sweater. I spent the afternoon at the Getty Museum, taking in the panoramic views of LA and enjoying my favorite rococo furniture exhibit. I felt very girly for dressing in all pink! Pictured is my absolute favorite sweater by Kenzie. The ruffles add volume where I need it and the marled slubby knit feels so nice. I layered it with a vintage BCBG slip I found at an estate sale last weekend. It was originally floor length, but shrank when I washed it :( Midi is not a length I usually wear because I feel like it cuts off my legs in an unflattering place. But this sheer flowy slip dress worked because you could see my legs through it. The perfect way to wear a trend not usually great for petites! (or just people with cankles like me, haha) I accessorized with a vintage ivory necklace, also an estate sale find, my moms circa 2000s Burberry purse, and Vince Camuto mixed media heels. This outfit was all about texture, from the marled knit sweater to the sheer slip and buttery leather purse. Perfect for a slightly chilly adventure in LA!
