Must Have Jeans

First off, I have to say THANK YOU! Thanks for reading my blog and following along on my little style adventure :) I officially reached 50 instagram followers today and it really made me smile. I started this not sure if I would ever get off the ground, but I feel like I am starting to get into the groove of this blog and finding my voice.
Now to todays post! Today I wore a cute, simple, comfy outfit to work. The weather is throwing me for a loop here in LA, as yesterday was cold and rainy! Today was a bit warmer, but still in the 60s. I paired this cute lightweight plaid & lace top with my favorite must have jeans. Being petite, I always aim for my outfits to make me look slim, tall, and chic. These jet black jeans are really high waisted. Pair them with a slightly cropped shirt and they will make your legs and waist look much longer, and therefor make you look taller! Bonus points for wearing black heels or booties with them.
In my mind, plaid is a neutral in the same way animal print is. Plaid goes with polka dots, lace, florals, etc.

Another reason why these jeans are great is that they are cut for a shorter person. They are from Forever 21 and generally juniors brands like this have their clothes fitted to a shorter girl than "adult" brands. (a good petite tip from the fashion biz) I didnt even have to hem these babies! And they are super cheap...cant beat it!
