The Silver Skirt

I have been in a style slump since transitioning from college in the deep south to depressing unemployment in rainy Seattle to working as a designer in sunny LA. Or maybe just a style whirlwind of confusion! My closet is still shedding old pieces from high school while trying to find FUN, appropriate pieces for work. It has been a challenge to build my professional, fun, young adult wardrobe, but I feel like I am finally making some headway!

This silver skirt was an instant love when I saw it on sale at Modcloth. Metallic, check, pleated, check, on sale, check! It was a no brainer! This is the first time I have worn it since buying it a few weeks ago as it needed to be hemmed. I had so much fun wearing it today and it transitioned perfectly into evening for going out to dinner with my mom and boyfriend. All I did to transition was mix it up with a crop top and sexy heels. A long sleeved crop top is great for those who are wanting to try the trend, but dont want to show off too much skin. What is your day-to-night transition secret?
