Stitch Fix Review

So, I am in recovery mode from having a major dental surgery yesterday. I am surprised I have as much energy as I do, but I cant move around a lot so I figured it would be a good time to do sit down and a little review on the Stitch Fix I recieved yesterday! Please forgive my derpy faces, I cant smile yet, haha.
So if you dont know about Stitch Fix, it is a personal styling website. You fill out a profile about your bodytype and style, and as often as you wish, they send you a box of five pieces of clothing they think you will like. My first stitch fix was a BIG FAIL! I almost cancelled my subscription ($20 per "fix") but after some research, many people say it takes a couple fixes for the stylist to "get it" and so I decided to give another try. I was assigned a new stylist for my second fix.
I hate to be negative, but again I am really dissapointed with my "fix" and have now cancelled the service. I have seen a lot of position reviews online, but feel like mine is pretty honest. Some things I stressed in my style questionaire are that I specifically want PETITE sized clothing, that I work as a fashion designer and want EXCITING work clothes, and that I live in LA so I want clothes to fit that look. I feel like what I got were clothes that were boring, boring, boring.
What I recieved:
-A blue/black dress (Andrew Marc)
-A blue/black dress (Brixon Ivy)
-A black sweater (Fate)
-A pair of blue jeans (Henry & Belle)
-A gray sweater (Market & Spruce - Stitch Fixes private lable brand)
So no fun colors color...and the two dresses were unfortunatly BOTH a color combination I personally dislike. The colorblocked one was too big. The jaquard one was a really cute cut, but the zipper was broken. I own ONE pair of blue jeans...in my entire closet...one. And they sent me a pair of blue jeans in the exact same cut and color as my ONE pair of jeans. They fit fine, but I dont need a second pair of jeans, call it bad luck I guess. Then the most grandma boring black sweater I have ever seen. I did ask for cardigans, but this one was so old fashioned I was abhorred that the stylist had picked it for me. The last piece was a gray drapey sweater-although the color isnt amazing-finally something that looks modern! And interesting! My boyfriend loved it, so I kept it, for $68 minus the styling fee
So this Fix was not a total disaster, I did find one piece which is apparently the goal of Stitch Fix. They know their clients wont love every piece. I am just extremely dissapointing that someone who asked for fun, cute clothes got literally the most boring color palette and cuts ever. Plus no petite clothes! Ill be altering the sleeves on my gray cardigan to fit. I will admit I dont have the Pintrest they encourage for style reference. But honestly, I thought this was supposed to be a time saving option. To fill out all the intial information about my body type, style, and then go make a pintrest would take the same amount of time it takes me to walk down to target and pick up a cute dress. Stitch Fix was worth a try, but didnt work for me, I'll just be sticking to the old fashioned way from now on.
I am wondering if anyone ever has gotten petite clothing from them? If I had even gotten one properly fitting piece I might have stuck with it another month!

The piece I kept- cute but a basic piece.

The grandma sweater...It did have some leather trim, but not enough to save it.

The blue/black colorblock dress. A big yawn...I wasnt dissapointed when it was too big.

I loved the cut of this dress. I didnt like the colors, but the zipper was so stiff I could barely open it, then zipping it up was impossible even though it obviously fit.

The jeans were okay...but just exactly what I already have! Lame...did I even ask for jeans?
So below is my cardigan, it is a cute basic. I like the curved seams in the back that make it a nice, tight fit (probably why my boyfriend liked it so much, haha) I paired it with a bright sundress to add some color, a vintage elephant necklace, and my favorite pair of holographic flats! (again, please excuse the glasses and silly faces....)
