We all have pieces that are on heavy rotation that we wear almost every week. This black circle skirt is one of them. If you dont have one, GET ONE!! You will wear it allll the time. This is actually a really cheap skirt I picked up in downtown Seattle a couple years. I will eventually need to upgrade to a higher quality version, so I am on the lookout.
So why is a black circle skirt so great? There are many reasons for me. Number one is that I have a big butt...like really big. This makes finding pencil skirts nearly impossible, and when I do find them I feel way too exposed showing off that much curve. This circle skirt hides some of my assests while accentuating my small waist (reason number two) which is a great plus. I wear it to work a lot in place of a pencil skirt. Reason number three is that it goes with nearly anything, from a boxy sweater to a crop top to a long sleeve blouse. So when you are looking for your perfect circle skirt, make sure it fits at the smallest part of your natural waist for the most flattering look. Keep in mind the fabric too. I have seen a lot of those heavy knit "scuba" fabrics out there. They are super cool, but add a stiffness to a circle skirt that can be overwhelming on a petite frame as the gathers stand out rather than draping down.

So I hope this has convinced you all to go out and get one yourself. You will not regret it! I paired my skirt with a cute window pane print top from U.O. I recommend this cut of top for all you petite gals. It is not specifcally for petite, but it is cut as a sort-of crop top which happens to be the perfect length for a short girl. It is slightly boxy, I am wearing a medium here. I put on some rose gold shoes and a necklace to coordinate, set off by a fun pair of sunglasses. The perfect cute n casual outfit for a Saturday!

Cute even from behind!
