The Perfect Girly Skirt

I am all about this skirt right now. As you may have noticed from my instagram/blog, I have reworn quite a few of my favorite pieces in my posts, including this skirt. I set out with the intention of showing what a "real" girls closet looks like, not someone who is buying a new outfit every time they blog just to show it off then resell it immediately. I guess everyone has their way of doing things, but I want this blog to show off my real petite blogger style with real outfits I wear everyday.

That being said, here is my Vince skirt I bought at a second hand store a couple weeks ago. I wore it on St. Patricks day last week. The reason I am in love with this skirt is because it makes me feel like a princess, but minus the pink roses and frills. It is a full, twirly skirt that hits just at the knee for a feminine, classy look. It was super fun to wear on this blustery day in Los Angeles! I had more than a few Marilyn moments. I feel like it really adds to my "mature" wardrobe, and can be worn with a bunch of different tucked in blouses. The other perk is that it is in what I think of as "my" color palette (as obviously I am the only one who wears it) which consists of grays, muted pinks, muted greens, black, burgundy, and ivory. 90% of my closet falls into these colors...it seems like...maybe not. I need to do an inventory of all my clothes- but thats a project for another weekend!

My blouse was a great J Crew find in the petites section. The abstract plaid goes with everything, and it fits great. It is currently on sale, 30% off $49.99, go take a look if you need a great work blouse! My shoes are the Ivanka Trump suede shoes I also got last weekend from the second hand store, $20 and they had never been worn! A great way to rock the spring suede trend. Lastly, my purse is a reversible tote from work (UnderOneSky) I love it and wear it every week day!

I think finding something that makes you feel feminine but isnt traditionally girly is really special. What is your favorite piece like this?

Such a lovely and inspiring post! I really enjoyed how you broke down the styling details and made the look feel both playful and effortless at the same time. The way you paired the skirt with complementary textures and colors truly brings out that perfect girly vibe without making it feel overdone. It’s refreshing to read fashion content that feels so genuine and easy to follow.

Your writing style flows beautifully, and the photos really help bring your vision to life. I also appreciate how you focus on confidence as the key accessory — that really stood out to me. Reading posts like this feels as uplifting as finding little lifestyle favorites, whether it’s a wardrobe staple or even something…

I absolutely love this skirt! The design is so cute and feminine, and it looks like it would be perfect for any casual outing or even a fun day at the beach. I can totally picture wearing it while enjoying a sunny day by the water.

Speaking of which, I've been looking into Edisto Beach rentals and Edisto Island vacation rentals lately, and the thought of spending some time in a lovely beach town while rocking a cute skirt like this sounds like the perfect getaway!

What a fun read! I really liked how you captured the charm of the skirt and what makes it “perfectly girly” in such a personal way. It’s clear you’re not just describing a style—it feels like you’re sharing a bit of yourself. In a world where we might lean on the best AI humanizer to make writing sound warm and relatable, your genuine voice reminds us that authenticity still wins. And while an answer AI could generate a list of styling tips for skirts, it wouldn’t bring the same level of heart or true experience that this post gives. Thanks for sharing!
