Easter Weekend

Well, unfortunately I just spent a large amount of my afternoon dealing with customer service for 1-800-flowers. Just a warning to everyone, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! They totally messed up a same-day delivery that...four days later still has not been sent. Needless to say, my boyfriends mother wont ever be getting her birthday flowers.

Apart from that nasty business, I have had a good weekend. Been exploring LA a bit more, stopped by Venice beach for the first time. I would say I 100% prefer Santa Monica beach over Venice beach, but the shopping street Abbot Kinney was super cute! I was excited for Easter brunch and wearing a flowery dress. Although I am not particularly religious, it is always nice to go out to a meal with family and dress up!

I love wearing a modern meets vintage look. This 1950s inspired dress is the perfect below-the-knee length even for a petite girl. I used to think this length of skirt was outfit suicide, but I have started embracing it. The key is to pair it with a full skirt with movement. A pencil skirt at this length would be stiff and unflatting. As the skirt on this dress is full, flirty, and always blowing around to reveal my knees, it totally works! So next time you want a more modest hemline, check out the circle skirt dresses!

I wore out a cute blue floral dress I found on consignment last year.

This skirt just goes on and on!

I finally got a chance to wear one of my vintage 1950s hats out and about!

This girl even curled her hair! A rare occurance!

All of these items were from vintage stores, consignment, and sample sales, but here are some links to similar styles:
